The Rescue List has won the Emmy® Awards 2021 for Outstanding Social Issue Documentary.

"The Rescue List" follows a Ghanaian NGO in its mission to recover and rehabilitate some children stolen from years of forced labor in the service of the fishing industry on Lake Volta, the largest artificial lake in the world. Unfortunately, the list of children to be saved is very long. In addition to the splendid photography and the magnificent music, the power of “The Rescue List” lies in the light but aware gaze with which it captures the emotions of the protagonists: the children, the operators, the families.

WHITE NOISE

With unprecedented, exclusive access, White Noise tracks the rise of far-right nationalism. This film takes the viewer into the terrifying heart of the movement - explosive protests, riotous parties, and the rooms where populist and racist ideologies are refined, weaponized, and injected into the mainstream. Just as the alt-right comes to prominence, infighting tears the movement apart. But even as the alt-right fractures, its once-marginalized ideas find a foothold in mainstream discourse, in Republican politics, the establishment right-wing media—and on the world’s biggest social-media platforms. As white nationalist violence surges in America and across the world, White Noise represents an urgent warning about the power of extremism, and where it’s going next.

Taking us behind the scenes with NASA's high-stakes Webb Space Telescope, The Hunt for Planet B follows a pioneering group of scientists, many of them women, on their quest to find another Earth among the stars. What begins as a real-time scientific adventure turns into a deep meditation on human longing. On the brink of seeing farther out than ever before, we find ourselves looking back at our own imperiled planet - and seeing it with new eyes.

Rolling Stone asks: " Is ‘The Viewing Booth’ the Best Documentary of the Year?"

The Viewing Booth explores a space ostensibly off-limits to cinema — the internal experience of a viewer. Unique in its form and structure, the film turns its camera away from the world and towards Maia’s eyes — allowing us to follow her experience as she negotiates images that challenge her worldview.
